A haven for wildlife such as Red Kites, Buzzards and Peregrines. Gaer Farm is also a working farm with a variety of animals for all the family. Children are more than welcome to help in feeding Ruby the pig, Cinders the pony as well as the guinea fowl, hens, sheep and pedigree Dexter cattle. Our accommodation includes two family rooms and one single room all en suite with tea making facilities and television. We welcome children of all ages and have a cot and high chair available on request. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement, as are packed lunches using home produced traditionally reared additive free meat. Within easy reach of Gaer Farm is salmon fishing on the River Wye, Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, dams and mountains of the Elan Valley and picturesque 'town of books' Hay on Wye. Other amenities include golfing, pony trekking, paragliding, walking, fishing and a variety of both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Directions From Builth Wells take A483 towards Llandrindod then turn right on A481 towards Hundred House. After approx. 3 miles, turn left at the 'Caer Farm B&B' sign and road sign Llandrindod & Howey 5 miles. Over a cattle grid - turn left up 'no through road'- over bridge, turn right over cattle grid - up hill, 150 yards taking left turn, continue to Caer. |
